NATO Secretary General visits USS Harry S. Truman

On 12 October 2018, the Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, will visit the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and the Royal Danish Navy support ship HDMS Esbern Snare, flagship of NATO’s first Standing Maritime Group.

Mr. Stoltenberg will be accompanied by the Chairman of the Military Committee, Sir Stuart Peach, by the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), General Curtis Scaparrotti, and by other senior military officials.

This visit is taking place in the context of preparations for exercise Trident Juncture 2018 later this month. Find out more about the exercise here.

Le secrétaire général de l’OTAN effectue une visite à bord du porte-avions USS Harry S. Truman

Le 12 octobre 2018, le secrétaire général, M. Jens Stoltenberg, effectuera une visite à bord du porte­avions USS Harry S. Truman et du navire de soutien de la Marine royale danoise, le HDMS Esbern Snare, qui est le vaisseau amiral du 1er Groupe maritime permanent OTAN.

M. Stoltenberg sera accompagné du président du Comité militaire, Sir Stuart Peach, du commandant suprême des forces alliées en Europe (SACEUR), le général Curtis Scaparrotti, et d’autres hauts responsables militaires.
