SOLAR WIND SPARKS PINK AURORAS: A stream of solar wind is blowing around Earth faster than 600 km/s (1.3 million mph). Last night, it produced a G1-class geomagnetic storm and a spray of pink auroras over Norway. The solar wind event is expected to continue for another ~24 hours as Earth continues its passage through the gaseous stream. Visit today's edition of Spaceweather.com for images and updates.
