GEOMAGNETIC STORMING CONTINUES: For the second day in a row, G2-class geomagnetic storms are underway as a fast stream of solar wind lashes Earth's magnetic field. If the storm persists through the night of Sept. 1-2, Northern Lights could be visible in the USA as far south as, e.g., Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Today's geomagnetic storm is happening on the 160th anniversary of the biggest geomagnetic storm in modern history--the Carrington Event. Read more about it on today's edition of Spaceweather.com
