NATO’s adaptation to the unpredictable security environment: progress report 2018-2019

The Alliance is facing the most complex and unpredictable security environment since the end of the Cold War: with growing geo-political challenges, more sophisticated and disruptive cyber and hybrid threats, and exponential technological change rapidly transforming the way wars are fought and won.

NATO continues to adapt and to prepare for the future by strengthening its deterrence and defence posture, projecting stability and fighting terrorism, investing more in defence, and modernising the Alliance.

L’adaptation de l’OTAN à un environnement de sécurité imprévisible : rapport d’activité 2018-2019

L’Alliance fait face à l’environnement de sécurité le plus complexe et le plus imprévisible depuis la fin de la Guerre froide, celui-ci étant marqué par des défis géopolitiques croissants, des menaces cyber et hybrides plus sophistiquées et plus perturbatrices, et une évolution exponentielle des technologies qui transforme rapidement la façon dont les guerres sont menées et gagnées.

L’OTAN continue de s’adapter et de se préparer pour l’avenir, en renforçant sa posture de dissuasion et de défense, en projetant la stabilité et en luttant contre le terrorisme, en investissant davantage dans la défense et en modernisant l’Alliance.
