NATO Secretary General visit to the State of Kuwait

Meeting of the North Atlantic Council with ICI Partners

At the invitation of the Kuwaiti authorities, the North Atlantic Council (NAC) chaired by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will visit the State of Kuwait on 15 and 16 December 2019.

The Secretary General and NATO Ambassadors will attend a ceremony under the Patronage of the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, H.H. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the NATO Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI), where the Secretary General will deliver remarks. Mr. Stoltenberg together with NATO Ambassadors will be attending a North Atlantic Council (NAC) with the ICI Countries and the participation of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The ceremony and the NAC meeting will take place at the NATO-ICI Regional Centre in Kuwait City.

In the margins of the meeting, the Secretary General will have a meeting with the Amir of the State of Kuwait, H.H. Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Réunion du Conseil de l'Atlantique Nord avec les pays de l'ICI

À l'invitation des autorités koweïtiennes, le Conseil de l'Atlantique Nord, sous la présidence du secrétaire général de l'OTAN, M. Jens Stoltenberg, effectuera une visite au Koweït les 15 et 16 décembre 2019.

Le secrétaire général et les ambassadeurs des pays de l’OTAN assisteront à une cérémonie qui se déroulera sous l'égide du premier ministre de l'État du Koweït, Son Altesse Cheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, à l’occasion du 15e anniversaire de l'Initiative de coopération d'Istanbul (ICI), et à laquelle le secrétaire général prononcera une allocution. M. Stoltenberg, accompagné des ambassadeurs des pays de l’OTAN, assistera à une réunion du Conseil de l’Atlantique Nord avec les pays de l’ICI, avec la participation du Conseil de coopération du Golfe, du Sultanat d'Oman et du Royaume d'Arabie saoudite.

La cérémonie et la réunion du Conseil de l’Atlantique Nord se tiendront au Centre régional OTAN-ICI, à Koweït City.

En marge de la réunion, le secrétaire général aura un entretien avec l'émir de l'État du Koweït, Son Altesse Cheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
