THE RAPID BRIGHTENING OF COMET NEOWISE: This week, Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) is passing by the sun and rapidly brightening to naked-eye visibility. New images from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) show an 8-fold increase in brightness over just a few days.
