A MAJOR OUTBURST OF NOCTILUCENT CLOUDS: Last night, a major outbreak of noctilucent clouds (NLCs) blanketed Europe. Electric-blue tendrils of frosted meteor smoke rippled over European capitals, shocking many observers who had never seen the clouds before.
