NATO hosts a conference on gender equality (online)

NATO is organising the conference "Gender equality and leadership: are today’s leaders leading enough”. The event will take place on Thursday 18 March 2021 and can be followed online. It will address the importance of women in leadership in NATO, and the need of women in leadership roles as we tackle current and future challenges.

The NATO Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Mircea Geoană will open the conference.

The event will be hosted by Ambassador Baiba Braze, the NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy, and will see the participation of Mr. David Angell, the Permanent Representative of Canada to NATO, Ms. Muriel Domenach, the Permanent Representative of France to NATO, and Mr. Miguel Fernández-Palacios, the Permanent Representative of Spain to NATO.

Conférence OTAN sur l’égalité des genres (en ligne)

L’OTAN organise une conférence sur le thème « Égalité des genres et leadership : les dirigeants d'aujourd'hui en font-ils assez ? ». Cette conférence aura lieu le jeudi 18 mars 2021 et pourra être suivie en ligne. Elle portera sur l’importance de la présence des femmes aux postes de direction de l’OTAN et sur les besoins des femmes qui occupent de tels postes tandis que nous abordons les défis actuels et futurs.

Le secrétaire général délégué de l'OTAN, M. Mircea Geoană, prononcera une allocution d’ouverture.

La modératrice de la conférence sera Mme l’ambassadrice Baiba Braze, secrétaire générale adjointe de l’OTAN pour la diplomatie publique. Y participeront M. David Angell, représentant permanent du Canada auprès de l’OTAN ; Mme Muriel Domenach, représentante permanente de la France auprès de l’OTAN et M. Miguel Fernández-Palacios, représentant permanent de l’Espagne auprès de l’OTAN.
