AURORAS IN THE USA: This morning, auroras spilled across the Canadian border into northern-tier US states during an unexpectedly-strong G2-class geomagnetic storm. The solar wind stream that sparked the outburst is still here. NOAA forecasters say episodes of G1-class storming are likely to continue throughout the weekend. Full story @ Spaceweather.com.
