NATO Deputy Secretary General’s visit to Italy

On 16-18 September 2021, the NATO Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Mircea Geoană will travel to Italy.

On 16 September 2021 he will visit the NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance (AGS) Force in Sigonella, together with a group of NATO ambassadors. 

On 17 September 2021 the Deputy Secretary General, together with the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, will attend a ceremony at the Allied Joint Force Command Naples Base, marking the 70th anniversary of NATO in Italy. The ceremony will be hosted by Admiral Robert Burke, Commander, Allied Joint Force Command Naples and Commander U.S. Naval Forces Europe and U.S. Naval Forces Africa.

Visite du secrétaire général délégué de l'OTAN en Italie

Le secrétaire général délégué de l'OTAN, M. Mircea Geoană effectuera une visite en Italie du 16 au 19 septembre 2021.

Le 16 septembre 2021, il et les représentants permanents des pays de l’Alliance se rendront à la base de Sigonella, où est implantée la Force OTAN de la capacité alliée de surveillance terrestre (AGS).

Le 17 septembre 2021, le secrétaire général délégué se joindra au président de la République italienne, Sergio Mattarella, pour assister à une cérémonie marquant le 70e anniversaire de l’implantation de l’OTAN en Italie. Cette cérémonie sera organisée au Quartier général du Commandement allié de forces interarmées de Naples par son commandant, l’amiral Robert Burke, qui est aussi le commandant des forces navales des États-Unis en Europe et des forces navales des États-Unis en Afrique.
