NATO Secretary General to brief the press before the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission

On Monday, 10 January 2022, the NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, will receive the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Mr. Dmytro Kuleba.

The Secretary General and the Minister will hold a joint press point at NATO HQ.

Minister Kuleba will attend a meeting of the NATO – Ukraine Commission (NUC) chaired by the NATO Secretary General.

Media Coverage

In person attendance:

NATO will allow a limited number of media representatives to cover the event in person.

Media representatives who have annual accreditation to NATO can attend the press conference in person, if they present their 2021 pass and a valid COVID certificate upon arrival at NATO HQ (more details here).

Other media representatives wishing to cover the event in person need to  apply for accreditation at NATOAccreditations@hq.nato.int by Thursday 6 Jan 2021, 23:59. Please use as subject line: 10 Jan NUC – ATTENDANCE IN PERSON. NATO will confirm your accreditation explicitly by email.

NATO strongly recommends that media organisations plan for a minimal physical presence.

Media representatives will have to go through security checks.

Online attendance:

NATO will also facilitate remote interaction during the press point. To declare interest to ask a question to the Secretary General and the Minister, journalists need to register no later than 8:30 (Brussels time) on Monday 10 January 2022, at the following link: https://natosg-mfa-ukr-10jan2022.eventbrite.com. Registered journalists will be contacted separately with technical details.

The press point will be streamed live on the NATO website and broadcast on satellite (worldfeed).

The video will be available for free download from the NATO Multimedia Portal after the event.

A transcript of the Secretary General’s remarks, as well as pictures taken by NATO photographers, will be available on the NATO website.
