ALCGOFF 024/22, ASSIGNMENT YEAR 2023 OFFICER ASSIGNMENTS KICK-OFF TIMELINES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND OUTREACH 1. AY23 has eight (8) White House assignment opportunities: 2-CDRs and 6-LTs. For details including respective AOs and descriptions of duties, visit the AY22 Shopping List on the OPM-2 Portal page at http://cglink.uscg.mil/cb33598e. The positions listed require early identification of candidates to accomplish necessary background investigations and interviews. All positions require outstanding records of performance, exemplary military bearing, sharp appearance, and superb communications skills. 2. Interested candidates need to submit an e-resume NLT 01 June 2022 via Direct Access. For any candidates who are not tour complete in AY23: your e-resume must include a command endorsement which specifically includes an endorsement for you to short tour and any backfill requirements. 3. The remaining early slate special assignments including Attaches, CGLOs, DHS, Congressional Affairs, etc., will be released IAW Ref A. 4. Any future AY23 e-resume submissions need to include previously requested special assignments ranked in the order of preference among member's total billet choice. 5. Members unable to connect to Direct Access due to being underway or other extenuating circumstances may communicate their requests via e-mail to the respective detailer listed on the shopping list.
