NATO air forces train over Romania

Fighter jets and surveillance aircraft from seven NATO countries held air-to-ground warfare drills over Romania on 28 July 2022. The one-day event included Romanian F-16s, French Rafales and German Tornado jets as well as US EA-18 fighter aircraft launched from the USS Harry S. Truman carrier in the Mediterranean.

From 25 to 27 July 2022, Admiral Rob Bauer, Chair of the Military Committee, attended the 24th annual Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Defence Conference in Australia. On the sidelines of the conference, he met with the Chiefs of Defence of NATO partners Australia, Japan and Mongolia, the Vice-Chief of Defence of the Republic of Korea as well as the Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command.

Croatian Special Forces team up with US Navy Seals

Special operations on dry land are one thing – but quite another in the water. That’s why the Croatian Special Forces teamed up with the US Navy SEALs to hone their skills. Special Operations Forces from Croatia and the US linked up near the Adriatic city of Split to practise underwater infiltration, ship boarding and beach assaults. By training together in a challenging operational environment, the two teams of elite commandos got to exchange tactics.
