To analyze the historical connection between NASA and the environment, the
NASA History Office, Georgetown University, the New Jersey Institute for Technology, and D.C. Space Grant Consortium are sponsoring a two-day symposium, Sept. 29-30, at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The symposium's goal is to assess the long history
of NASA's interest in, responses to, exploration of, and impact upon, environments as broadly construed. The symposium is free; registration is not required. The format of the symposium will be a combination of panel discussions, keynote talks, and group discussion.
The intention is to publish an anthology of selected papers. For information on the program, visit:
