NASA History Community:

I wanted to let you know about two noteworthy items.

First, following on the heels of the recent NASA and the Environment history symposium, we are planning a symposium on the history of NASA’s Discovery Program that will take place on 12-13 October 2023 in Washington, DC.  A call for papers and more information is at https://www.nasa.gov/feature/call-for-papers-for-discovery30-new-frontiers20-symposium .

Second, a reminder that the deadline for papers to be considered for the 2022 Sacknoff Prize for Space History is 30 November 2022. The Prize is awarded to the best research papers from a college or university student related to space history including historical case studies of companies and business activities, profiles of individuals, and can draw upon cultural studies, literature, communications, economics, engineering, and science.  A $500 cash prize and publication in the peer reviewed journal Quest: The History of Spaceflight Quarterly is awarded to the winning paper(s). Visit https://spacehistory101.com/space-history-resources/sacknoff-prize/  for details.

Please feel free to forward to others who may be interested.  Thanks a lot.

                -Steve
