Below and attached is information about a fascinating talk we will host next Wednesday regarding the intersection of two important, if understudied, subjects: the NACA (NASA’s predecessor organization) and helicopter flight.
Please join us and feel free to share this information with others who may be interested. Thanks very much,

Description:
Joshua Schmidt is a Presidential Management Fellow on detail to NASA’s History Division from the U.S. Forest Service. His background as a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot motivated
him to explore efforts by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) to advance “Rotating-Wing” aviation technology. In this talk, Joshua will explain key takeaways from his research and why they may be impactful, as well as possible avenues to
further enhance understanding of the contributions of the NACA to rotary aviation.
