Ceremony to mark transition to the new NATO Secretary General

On Tuesday, 1 October 2024, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s tenure will come to an end. He will be succeeded by Mr Mark Rutte, former Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

A series of events to mark the transition of mandate from Mr Stoltenberg to Mr Rutte will take place at NATO Headquarters that morning, beginning at 09:00 CEST.

Access is limited to journalists with annual accreditation and those who have registered until September 19 and would have been notified that they can cover the meeting in person.

Cérémonie à l’occasion de la prise de fonctions du nouveau secrétaire général de l’OTAN

Le mardi 1er octobre 2024, le mandat du secrétaire général de l’OTAN, Jens Stoltenberg, arrivera à son terme. C’est Mark Rutte, ancien premier ministre des Pays-Bas, qui lui succédera.

Une cérémonie de passation des pouvoirs entre M. Stoltenberg et M. Rutte aura lieu ce matin-là, à partir de 9 heures (CEST), au siège de l’Organisation.

L’accès est limité aux journalistes disposant d’une accréditation à l’année et à ceux qui, après s’être inscrits avant le 19 septembre, ont été informés qu’ils étaient autorisés à couvrir la réunion.

Pour obtenir une carte pour un pool précis, prière d’envoyer un courriel à natomediaoperations@HQ.NATO.INT avant le 27 septembre à 23h59.
