The
Winter 2024 issue of NASA History News & Notes is out now, packed with examples of how NASAâs past provides insights relevant to its mission today.
Established in 1959, NASAâs history program is nearly as old as the agency itself. As we close out 2024âand mark the 65th anniversary of the history programâNASAâs historians and archivists
reflect on the progress made over the year and share snapshots of the agencyâs history revealed in their recent work.

Announcing the Aerospace Latin America Lecture Series
Over the course of 2025, the NASA History Office will present a seminar series on the topic of Aerospace Latin America. This series will explore the origins, evolution, and historical context of aerospace
in the region since the dawn of the Space Age, canvasing a broad range of topics including aerospace infrastructure development, space policy and law, Earth science applications, and much more.
The first few presentations, listed here, will be held on Thursdays at 1 p.m. CST via Microsoft Teams. Details on how to join the meetings will be sent in the coming weeks.
