On 10 and 11 March 2025, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte visited Sarajevo and Pristina. In Sarajevo, he met high-level officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the Chair and members of the Presidency, the Chair of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defence, and the Acting Minister of Security, as well as with the Commander of NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Commander of the EUFOR mission. The Secretary General also engaged with students at the University of Sarajevo.

On 12 March 2025, NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska welcomed Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), to the North Atlantic Council. Ms. Shekerinska emphasised Alliesâ respect for the ICRCâs mandate and highlighted the importance of NATO-ICRC cooperation on international humanitarian law and humanitarian affairs.

NATO is pleased to announce the launch of the fifth edition of the NATO Youth Summit, in partnership with the Atlantic Council of Montenegro, in Budva on 25-26 April 2025. On 10 and 12 February 2025, the International Board of Auditors for NATO (IBAN) had the honour of welcoming to Brussels a delegation from the Benin Chamber of Accounts: Mr Roland Zinzindohoué, Director of the Office of the Chamber's President, and Mr Serge Batonon, the institution's Secretary General.
