On 21 July 2025, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte took part in an online meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group. The meeting was hosted by the German Minister of Defence, Boris Pistorius, and the UK Defence Secretary, John Healey.

Twelve NATO Allies have committed to develop and roll out a new digital network by 2030 through NATOâs Allied Software for Cloud and Edge Services (ACE) High Visibility Project. ACE will enable personnel in the field to create, distribute and store classified information securely.

The second iteration of NATOâs prime enhanced Vigilance Activity (eVA), Neptune Strike 25-2, recommenced on 24 July 2025. The USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, under NATO command, operates with ships and aircraft from seven nations to demonstrate high-end maritime strike capabilities during the second half of Neptune Strike 25-2.
