On 4 August 2025, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte welcomed the first package of US military equipment for Ukraine coordinated under the new NATO Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative. The Secretary General and the Dutch government confirmed that the Netherlands is funding the first package in full.

On 5 August 2025, Denmark, Norway and Sweden confirmed that they would fund a USD $500m package of equipment and munitions for Ukraine sourced from the United States under the new NATO Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative.
