NATO Secretary General in Kyiv – NATO stands with Ukraine

On 3 February 2026, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte visited Kyiv, Ukraine for meetings with Ukrainian leadership, including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He started the visit by meeting with staff at the NATO Representation to Ukraine. He then travelled to Maidan Square where – alongside the President - he lit a candle in memory of the victims of Russia’s war of aggression.
