NATO Secretary General to visit Norway

On 17 and 18 March 2026, the NATO Secretary General, Mr Mark Rutte, will travel to Norway, where he will meet the Prime Minister of Norway, Mr Jonas Gahr Støre, in Oslo and observe Cold Response, a Norwegian-led exercise with participation from NATO Allies and partners, in Bardufoss.

15:20 (CET) Wednesday 18 March: Joint press conference by the NATO Secretary General with the Minister of Defence of Norway, Ms Tore O. Sandvik and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Mr Espen Barth Eide.

Media coverage

  • The joint press conference will be streamed live on the NATO website and will be made available to EBU News Exchange and NATO News on YouTube.
  • Video recording of the joint press conferences will be available for free download from the NATO Multimedia Portal after the events.
  • A transcript of the Secretary General’s remarks during the press conferences, as well as pictures, will be available on the NATO website.
