NATO Secretary General visits Czechia to discuss Euro-Atlantic security with Prime Minister Babiš

On 16 April 2026, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte had talks in Prague with the Prime Minister of Czechia, Andrej Babiš. They discussed the current security environment, defence investment, production, and Ukraine. The Secretary General welcomed Czechia’s commitment to the Alliance.

On 15 April 2026, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte participated in a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group (UDCG) in Berlin. The Hungarian Lynx armoured infantry fighting vehicle

Hungary has invested heavily in a modern tracked fleet as part of its wider defence modernisation effort, ordering more than 200 Lynx infantry fighting vehicles from arms manufacturer Rheinmetall back in 2020.
