NATO reaffirms strong commitment to nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty at UN review conference

NATO reaffirmed its strong commitment to the full implementation of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) at the United Nations in New York on 30 April 2026. Addressing the 11th Review Conference of the Treaty on behalf of the Alliance, Assistant Secretary General Boris Ruge stressed that "nuclear non-proliferation remains as vital today as it was when the NPT came into force in 1970."
