On 8 and 9 October 2026, NATOâs Deputy Secretary General, Radmila Shekerinska, visited the Republic of Moldova. She met with President Maia Sandu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai PopÈoi, Minister of Defence Anatolie Nosatîi, and other senior officials. They discussed a range of issues and took stock of Moldovaâs long-standing partnership with NATO.

From 31 August to 25 September, Portugal hosted REPMUS 2026, a large-scale exercise which included integrating and assessing uncrewed maritime systems. It involved more than 3,700 participants, 300 unmanned systems, 60 research and development companies, and representatives of 36 navies. Uncrewed systems offer new ways for NATO to maintain a credible and persistent presence, even in remote locations, helping enhance deterrence and defence.

The Secretary Generalâs Special Representative for the Southern Neighbourhood, Javier Colomina, returned to Rabat for a third official visit on 6-7 October 2026. He met with senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, and the Royal Armed Forces. He exchanged views on the state of play of NATO-Morocco relations and regional security, and on prospects to deepen cooperation between NATO and the Kingdom of Morocco, building on the strong foundations established over the past three decades.

The Political Affairs and Security Policy (PASP) Division is a political hub for NATO partnerships. To enable PASP to deliver on its partnership responsibilities, a number of NATO Satellite Offices around the globe have been established to provide an in-situ interface with the respective partner countries/international organisations.
The NATO Satellite Office (NASO) Coordination Officer will:

Plan, organise and support projects that help to keep NATOâs Satellite Offices running smoothly.

Work closely with multiple stakeholders at NATO HQ in Brussels and with NATOâs Satellite Offices around the globe.
Requirements:

at least 3 yearsâ relevant experience in progressively responsible positions with a focus on policy, budget, administration and/or HR
-
experience coordinating activities across multiple offices within governmental, intergovernmental, international, or other institutional environments
-
willingness to travel and visit the NATO Satellite Offices periodically
