NOCTILUCENT ROCKET FUMES OVER JAPAN: Yesterday, Jan. 18th, Japan's space agency JAXA launched a small rocket over the Pacific Ocean. It created a rare and amazing display of artificial noctilucent clouds. The unexpected apparition was widely seen in the dark starry sky over western Japan before sunrise.
