Hows this for a rip off
Our oven in our house has had an on going fault with the circulating fan (Fan Forced). When we bought the house it had a Complete new kitchen not even used, all the kitchen Hardware Oven/Cooktop/range hood were from a manufacturer from Italy Name ....., Now I cant mention the Name but I can tell you it is Crap Nothing but trouble from day one.
The biggest trouble has been the fan after 18 months, we had to replace the fan with a new one at a cost of $225,,,,,,Now its stuffed again and guess what it would cost more $$$ So Fuck em, I rang Northern Appliances at Newmarket in Brissy and told them my story and the gentleman said "Bring that Italian Fan with you and we might find one that is similiar", well, similiar, no I found one "EXACTLY IDENTICAL" Cant believe my luck, they sell these fans everywhere, its a standard item. Its made to fit in some Chef and Simpson models and it is constructed better,,,, the cost $55 with GST and its Locally made and available everywhere.
Not the other pile of junk it has to come from Western Australia if not they said "Hummm we are out of stock more coming from Italy,,,,,,I rang him back and told him to use it as a suppository, yes that means stick it in your arse. Now our Italian oven has an Australian made chef fan in it and it runs beautifully.

(PS the Italians copied the Aussie unit HEEEEEE)
Phil

[ 23. phill i wish you asked me about the fan i could of helped
rember i started my bussiness repairing food equippment
most ovens are designed around the common parts that manufactures can get hold of it helps there bootom line
if it is the fan with the 3 mounting feet make sure that you use the fiber washers as they help stop the heat transfer that burns out the insulation on the windings and stops the bushes over heating

Jason
How are you ,I totally forgot about you, yes the heat will travel up the shaft and dry out the bearings , my new one had no fibre washer, nor did the old motor,,,,,,,arrrrr well next time the bearings stuff up it $55 and I will stick my own fibre washer in .
Funny thing I said to Ruth "they should have something to stop the heat leaking through" when I first pulled it out to Oil the bronze bearings.
Phil
