Reading a few forums around it seems that its the end of piracy in the pay tv arena once and for all, no more sellers going around flogging off gold cards white cards or what ever they are out of business.
But has foxtel and other won NO!
For some they had a ligit foxtel card and made clones of it for there other decoders, some had a ligit card with a basic package and made clones between the family and close friends and had it fully open for all channels and shared the bill between themselves and today that Irdeto 1 is dead what are these poor people watching THE FUCKING SAME , NOTHING HAS CHANGED just how to do it everybody has Dreamboxes and instead of coping or cloning the cards only one card ligit new red card is needed, it fullly paid for, the $98 package and presto its shared over the internet Vis ADSL or Broardband.
And to top it off it can be done with other boxes like Nokias, Humax's using a interface out the card reader to a computer connected to the internet.
You have to feal a little pity for the pay tv providers they have won the battle but are they going to win the war?? buy the time they scratch there heads with card sharing over the internet, the Irdeto 2 will be broken like this German exchange student said. You will NEVER see any of use caught dead on any forum (talking about his older brother), the real brains are out off sight from the pay tv arena, he told me they learnt a lesson from Irdeto 1 it was plasted in every forum on the planet how to crack it and this was its downfall because the sellers got onto it and the pat tv companies had to do something about it.
Just wondering Why would someone want to record a data stream on a hardisk and send it back to Germany, sounds a bit fishy.
Fred

Foxtel
What a racket. They won't get my money for their expensive digital package. How in the fuck you can call the so call new channels the same channels + two hours as new channels, also they classify 24 radio channels as channels, you can't view a radio channel.
What a rip off I hope it fails and they fall flat on their arse.
Peter

Ha Ha Ha !!! Why would they want to log the transport stream?? and send the hard drive to Germany? Well its simple you can't fit a dish in Germany and download foxtels stream, but in the old days of dial up you probably would send hard drives over but these days with unlimited Broadband or ADSL why bother. Log it and send it over, maybe the Germans want a sample of the I2 stream to compare with the others in the northern hemi.
Hummmmmm sound a little fishy.
As for digital Pay Tv which has always been digital anyway, its way too expensive. The things I personally don't like is and others will see it like I do is:
1/ Too expensive
2 All these lovely new channels, check them, most are radio and time shift channels
3/ The 24 month contract to all if you say nothing, now thats a dirty trick. They should tell you there is a option of having a 12 months only contract.
4/ They say nothing about the phone line to be connected until you have signed the contract, then they explain why you need the decoder plugged in the phone line for all the new services, aren't they good. BUT WHAT THEY DONT TELL YOU IS THAT THE DECODER CAN DO A TIME AND MOTION STUDY ON YOU.

Example:: they will know what time the decoder turns on and off, they will know what channels you watch and how long you watch them for, You might like watching the Adults porno channel a lot. Now they are allowed to sell that information to outside sources and before you know it your mail box in your decoder or your mail box out the front of the house will be bombarded with shit about porno movies to buy for you VHS and DVD player.
Or in other case your wife might like the "W" (womens) channels and Foxtel know you are watching it so it wont be long before your wife gets flooded with Do you wnat to buy this??, Do you want to buy that?.
And I have been told this Via an anonymous email I will keep it brief
A gentleman in England was convicted and sent to Jail because he watched Pay TV Funny haaaaaa
This is what happened He was charged with Raping his sister in law although there was evidence via DNA but he denied it, he said it was consenting SEX but she denied that, the jury was partially divided, so out came more evidence, the prosecuter got a court order and gave it to the Pay TV provider to show the jury his Viewing habits and guess what the jury saw , Nothing but Adult and porno viewing by the accused, so this was enough to swing this to a guilty verdict.
NOW TELL ME, DO YOU WANT A BOX THAT TELLS THE WORLD WHAT YOU DO??
And the modem inside the Digital decoder must be connected at all times to the phone line otherwise your service will be cut off
Phil

fred, what are you saying. i am having trouble understanding. you mean that there is no need to pirate pay tv anymore when you can share a decoder card across the internet... but then they could intercept that couldnt they? and if your sharing paytv across the web to a friend or many friends and you get caught then your ass is grass..

i dont get it? you dont mean send the actual video stream across the web do you?
