Does age really matter? We have been recently discussing racism, when musicman said a thing that pisses me off. It has got to do with AGEISM. Now, does it not matter the age that you are, but the maturity, or in this case, the quality of what you type. Now Phil if i recall, you have expeienced ageism many a time. If you go for a job now, it doesn't matter how much experience you have, it's your age that makes a difference. For example, in schools now, they are hiring young people, rather than older people with more experience. I think this is just to save money. It's all about quantity over quality now.

Lock old people up for their own safety and the safety of the community as a whole ! :-)

I had my old folks sent to "Shadey Days Maximum Security Retirement Village". The world is a much happier place !

Where I work, we have the opposite problem.
There has been no new blood for the past 10 years and now the youngest technicians are about 30 yo.

It's one of the down sides to the privatisation of Telstra. The focas is now on profit, and they still have the values installed by the yanks.
Where there was once thousands of jobs, they're a now only hundreds, (and bigger profit margins).

Those thousands of jobs dispersing money throughout the community (and paying taxes) are now locked away in the form of internal company profit and shareholder dividends.

You can just see how this flows on through the community.

Don't you watch the news? it is impossible to sit down and watch the news without something to do with the word SEX, read Cathy's post on all the sex cases getting around all in the art of $$$$$$$. You might have notices how I removed you from my ICQ, I will add you again after your 16th Birthday.
See I teach computers at peoples home, there is a shortage of people that do this so I can be choosey, I DO NOT TEACH CHILDREN AND I DON'T GIVE A SHIT WHO IS THERE, I DON'T TEACH WOMEN NOT UNLESS THEIR HUSBAND IS HOME, You would have to be a fool today to do different.

I'm 30 and feel old in the job marketplace, and that's probably true in a lot of cases.

Phil, do you have a problem with lonely neglected wives trying to jump your bones while you're trying to get someone's dialup connection working again? Send 'em my way
