Well what do you think of the above.
Its seems to be Australia wide at the Moment, what should we do to have nice gardens and save water or are the councils trying to grab a fast buck and use a water shortage just for a excuse to make more $$$.
Yes this is a big problem where we live. I'm in the process of removing over 150 Water drinking plants and replacing them with the opposite. And they look good to. We have to do it otherwise we will run out of water. I hate when I see my neighbour hosing the concrete driveway with a sprinkler and he is not even home. What a waste!.
Ha... We out here are on Tank Water..... That and it Never rains.
i our area we have two water systems

one is normal portable water
on is Recycled water

it is conected to the toilets and to the garden taps
you can hose to your harts content its made from shit water great for the garden high in phosphates

more councils should be adopting beter systems like this

end of line
I remember reading somewhere that Australia doesn't want to use desalinization unless they HAVE to because of the noise they create... I'd gladly sacrifice silence for water
Yes we have to be more responsible with this resource.
any thing can be made to run silence its all to do with how $$$$$ they want to spend

desalinization is then way to go pleanty of salt water for portable water

Malta has been doing it for years !

and recycled for the shitters and garden
even wash the car with it and shimmy with portable water of run the recycled with a filter

end of line
Ha! this way you will be lowering the sea level ( only joking).
Yes some of us do have nice gardens and we have to sit back and think about this now.
Its getting worst by the day.
I have to wash my new car in the garage to stop the dobers dobing me in and yes I use buckets.
I have unlimited crystal clear bore water.
No doubt you live on Acerage??, how much did it cost.
No , I live on a suburban block of land ( 1000 sqm - quarter acre )
Approx cost $2000.
