Another Male bashing ad. - AUS-CITY Message Forums

Sitting down and watching the midday movie and no not again, another ad that shows you a man being slapped by a woman. In my eyes this is not on as if it was the other way around you would have thousands of women complaining and the ad would be removed. So tell me why is it allowed for a woman to slap a man? and why do they get away with it?. Another example of an ad that a woman hitting a man is that detergent ad where a woman hits a man over the head with a spanner, again this is not on and its about time its stopped . I ve had enough I have just rang Channel seven and I'm putting an official complaint in via a letter today. If channel 7 are showing these ads I bet the others are so its about time something gets done about this matter. yeh i heard about that add they were talking about it i think last week on one of the talk back radio stations here and alot of men weren't happy about it there views on it were similar to what u just said

Ring up Channel 7 and give them your opinion of the ad.

Normaly i don't worry about stuff like this but things have changed lately, you see womens action groups doing anything to stuff guys up and us guys do nothing, well as of today it will change I will ring the first channel that shows it and I will put it in writing and send F.A.C.T.S a letter also. I agree with you Phil this is not one traffic way you know.

Phil Even my wife has said the same so it shows you some women are also on our side. Let me know how you go with Channel 7 if you don't get any satisfaction from them or that useless mob in Sydney I will see what I can do at my level in the Political arena.

I rang up months ago about a similiar ad and nothing was done, who know's maybe all these position are controled by women, ring the anti discrimation board and all you will do is talk to women and I think they have a habbit to protect their own. I don't like the smell of this but I can see you guys are starting to fight back and so it should be.

Typing the letter now, Posting on Wednesday morning. I have been told by 3 people now that this has been a talk on 2 different radio stations.

You guys are just going to have to wake up to yourselves! Its just a fact that a woman is worth more than a man any day of the week. There's an easy solution to all of this. You guys should only watch TV after 11pm. Then you can avoid ads showing women as strong, capable human beings (ie. your equal). Instead you will only see those stupid ads featuring vacuous women lolling around in their underwear with a voiceover telling you that these gorgeous women are just sitting their waiting to talk to YOU (yes, you could be an ugly, unintelligable, social retard, but they want you). Or you can watch the "Tint Professor" ads showing a women with boobs barely contained in her tight revealing top, bending over to langourously rub the windows of car that has been treated with said product. No fear of being confronted by images of real women in real situations.

Funny thing you talk about equality. I was reading this in a South African paper. It is the best example of non equality that women think they have. The Olympics: If women are equal to a man, why can't they run as fast?, why can't they shot put as far?, why can't they swim as fast? why don't they have a 1500 in the swimming? Why can't they jump as high? Why can't they lift as much? do you really want me to continue on? We are not equal, why? because a man is a man and a woman is a woman.

By the way I will be complaining about these ads.

P Debono I'm a mother of 3 Children and I have registered my complaint against these ads. I have always been against these women's action groups as some have political agenda's, my own sister is in one of these groups and she was trying to force me to join this group that does nothing but bitch and complain on anything that a man does. Did you see Channel 7 on Today Tonight about the ads that men feel offensive. Now we are being told that the Advertising Standards board has rejected the complaints, so what we do now is boycott anything that channel 7 advertises as Channel 7 was the station where I viewed these one eyed ads. For ****s sake channel 7, if you run an ad where a guy kicked a woman in the cunt, how long would that ad run on tv? It wouldn't last a day. It only took one woman to complain about the ad for the VZ SS ute chucking a burnout to have the ad removed because of one of her family members being killed in a car accident. Come on Channel 7, why don't you show the way? and refuse to show these ads or is it a case of $$$$$$$$, because I will not respect any television station that is so one eyed. Its a disgrace! Yes i agree don't buy there stupid products of these ads. Now I wonder if the companies will ike that, and for the tv station they are only interested in the money

We can see its attracted attention because both C7 and C9 both ran stories on it and the standards board will do nothing about it. I bet this bulshit Standards board is run by women and men haters. But you have a good point I will not buy anything endorsed or advertised by these tv stations and I might even write to the companies involved and tell them.

Typical I wonder if they will like that? I stopped my kids a long while ago watching Home and away as the wife complained that it showed to many instances of a lady/girl/woman either hitting or verbally abusing a man so channel 7 what are you going to do about that. Men in general after John Howards ads are starting to wake up

Well today I recieved a letter from the Advertising Standard Bureau in the ACT telling me that the ad that I complained about has just been removed of air. Thank you ASB., Maybe you don't like aus-city's Controversy Corner. But I still want that ad removed where the lady kicks a guy in the balls and I will not stop sending letters to all our FTA stations which will be passed to the Advertising Standards Bureau. This ad is not on as it shows a bad example for kids that its ok to kick a male or a young boy in the testicals. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="images/icons/default/mad.gif" />
