According to a source, PanAmSat has joined forces with GlobeCast to introduce PanGlobal TV, on Pas8. This new service will target international broadcasters wanting to reach Australia's multicultural society.
I don't know if this is true, because forum participants, have said it was WMI teaming up with PanAmSat, not GlobeCast. Another thing that's strange, Globecast already has a service in Australia, why would they start up another one?
Yes I read that on auspaytv forum, Also i was sent that by others, thanks all!!, We are going to have 5 ethnic pay tv companies in Australia.
Phil,

Can you please name the 5 services?
Thanks
UBI
WMI
TvPlus
MyTv
PanGlobal Tv
Reuder,

Thanks for the reply.

We are waiting for Iranian Channels in particular Tapesh TV. I do not understand why it is difficult for paytv companies to bring Iranian channels. There are 25 Iranian TV channels in America only who love to give it free to Australian pay tv. And also 3 Iranian channels from Iran. All said that they won't charg nothing. Why not UBI that has contract with Tapesh and Channel 1? We are waiting!!!!
ANY ONE know if any these companies
(WMI ,TvPlus ,MyTv ,PanGlobal Tv) will be airing any turkish channels or wil UBI have the them only?

NO,,,, there is your answer.
David Ball, vice president, Asia Pacific sales, PanAmSat. “International customers looking to distribute their programming to Australia’s vibrant Pay TV market will be able to access an established DTH neighborhood of more than 60,000 homes , where the necessary antennas have already been deployed .
Thanks Phil,

It is more clear now but all of these channels are also broadcasting for Europe and Middle East via Hotbird, Telestar12 and....
Don't you think is possible to link them here to B3 from EU or Middle East satelites?

Thanks again.
PanGlobal TV
Will it get going???? Maybe not after what I've been told.
PanGlobal is a new venture between Panamsat and GlobeCast worldwide.

It was announced and launched in Europe last week.

Great news for Australia?
why is that gonzalez?
GlobeCast australia was trying to bring TyCsports, as GlobeCast usa and europe carried that channel, hopefully this new service fom PanGlobal will help this hapen.
helo phil, can you tell us anything why it wont happen.
hey PanGlobal doing OK with all Russian stuff on PAS8, also Serbian?

Must have $$$'s.

Ouch UBI bit stuffed on b3 now - how much life left in b3 - did ubi get it cheap?
doesnt matter how much life is left on B3 what ever happens all the channels and all shift onto the new satellite they have been doing this for years so the life of the satellite is not a problem

[ 25. September 2004, 07:51 PM: Message edited by: Lazer ]
Never a problem, it all bull, see Optus C1 is new, its simple they play hand me down games, See the "D" series sat gets launched next year that will replace one Optus satellite, the Sat they replace the older one, replaces the other and so on.....
the one at the end of the queue, gets the chop.
That would be A3. Then the last one goes inclined like A3 is now to save fuel.
will A3 retire and join the space junkyard after the new D series goes up??
Free_Sat_Au did say it was going to be retired. I'm not sure what they do, if they just let them drift or de-orbit them. Letting them drift around out of control in the Clarke belt doesn't sound like a very good idea for risk of collisions and debris. I dunno.
Pan global on Pas8 or B3 what?what is it?dont worry will check it all myself?whats with Abs/cbs networks going sub this End September?on Pas8?

From

The Channels are RTVi, Teleklub/Detski Mir, Nashe Kino and RTRPlaneta.

The Russian service is the first bouquet to be launched by GlobeCast Australia on the PanGlobal TV DTH platform with significant numbers of other channels currently under negotiations. The service will be available Free to Air with a view to being encrypted by the end of the year. It's bloody good . It is look like we will have free Russian channels till end of the year. I don't think any Russian now will bother to sign for MY TV + TV+ even if they offer half price for those who will sign before 15 of October. They(TV +) promised a lot - TV, Internet, phone, but the only they've got at the moment is one Russian channell on almost anreacheble NSS6. I'm not sure at what stage Horizon World TV is, but by doing this (even if most of the channels are pretty crappie they guaranteed no Russian will go to rivals, at least not now. So, the're winning the time
Lazer

Is the Apsattv website up?

Its been down for a couple of days now.
yeh its has been working for about a week now but the apsattv.com add just went up the other day so it does work now
Hi youse guys. Lots of talk about B3 end of life. I reckon that B3 will be replaced by the new D1 satellite. This is due to launch in about one year. This new satellite is a ripper as it has about 20 transponders that can cover Australia and Zealand, or just New Zealand. This is good news for UBI so that they can get into New Zealand. Reason that UBI is not in New Zealand now is that there are no transponders available for Aust/NZ available.
Lazer

Is it
