Pas8 has some english movie channels FTA<br />only turkish is TRT which is on ku band with a small dish on B3<br /><br />Asiasat 2, 3 have start sports and dubai sports<br /><br />have a look here<br /><br />http://www.lyngsat.com/pas8.html<br />http://www.lyngsat.com/asia3s.html<br />http://www.lyngsat.com/asia2.html<br /><br /><br />your 2.3metre dish should pick most of the stuff on the sats listed above
mr-mixer, do you have a motorized system? or Are you gonna manually move it and leave it on? Reason for the above questions is not to be so smarty when answering your request with additional ideas...
at the moment, I am installing it. It will be manual movement
Just a quick feedback. As its a big dish, moving everytime you want to check other sats is gonna be really painfull exercise. <br />It might be better to install with actuator / positioner or Disecq actuator if box supports, so the sats can be accessed with a single remote button. It's a bit extra spending but worth to install it at the beginning rather than trying to get a suitible attchments later.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/default/wink.gif" /><br /> <br /> <small>[ 09. I need help to set on Pas 8...<br />I v got Freq Finder but it just for Ku band ...<br />What is the dish position for pas 8 ...<br />My software says 156 E web page says 166 E<br />which one is correct?
mr-mixer, its 166E and for more accurate settings check; http://www.lyngsat.com/pas8.html it has sat tracer gives you elevation & azimuth angles...
Yes good Movies last night, HARTS WAR!!
Phil, Is 1.8m dish sufficient enough to get i701 signals? I don't wanna play with it if not...
KU yes ,,,,C Band NO!
Whats the minimum dish size for "C" band? would 2.0m or 2.3m receive with quality over 30...
I used to get Asiasat 2 & 3s with 1.8m dish without any problem, but I'm currently using the dish for NSS6, and would like to check other sats as well....
Phil ...What is the LNB settings on PAS 8?<br />and what is the compass shows on PAS8?
mr_moxer, Phil will not be able to find the correct degrees for you from Qld...Its better to get them from the link that I post it for you, and also check the sat tracer in that link to get azimuth and elevation angles. When you catch the rat, its easy to play with it to get the best...
I v got everythings look ok <br />but no signal.<br />is the lnb settings like this or not<br />lnb volt 12 v<br />lnb tp 5150 ?
Do you have a sat finder?
yes i v got it.<br />how far from Optus b3?

try using this freq as this is pretty stroung and will make it easier for u to find pas8 then u can fine tune ur lnb and dish for maximum performance the main thing now is to find it enter this freq 3740 H 27500 - 2/3 into ur reciever and start searching use the recicever and a television to find the sat cause the sat finder will give u signal were eva u point
I dont still know I am faceing the right direction for Pas 8.How far from optus b3?
Good -.Laser.-, hH needs to set up the box so he can find the signal with the sat finder and then fine tuning can be processed through the sat box signal/quality screen. Its very easy process but, user needs to know the basic things first...
I can t reach the lnb with my frq finder.it makes it hard to tune.
i'll be back later

what are the law regulations on fitting 2.3 mesh satellite dish on the roof of the house?<br />what is the maximum legal height? neighbour can view dish from their living room, Is that a problem? how can we fix this?
what are our rights where we can locate our 2.3 mesh dish? at the moment 6 dine bolts are holding on heavy duty steel pole one mtere high above back of my brick veneer house.the back of our home we have 4 neighbours. 1 neighbour conplained they can see the dish from there living room.
15 years ago i had my Parraclipse 4.3 M dish on top of my house on the hill The penrith council used it as a land mark, Now that was them days when there was no wingers, today i would not get away with it.
do i need to take it down? does the neighbour have right to complain to the council?

dishes around here in sydney most areas allow upto 1.5m dishes without approval and can only be about 1 metre off the roof or the ground for anything bigger they want to check it out but if no one complains you should be ok the council only cares if some one complains about it<br /><br />dnt know bout melbourne

For a nice view of a nice dish on neighbour's roof? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="images/icons/default/mad.gif" /> <br />What's next, complaining about the colour of your curtains? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/default/rolleyes.gif" />
And they will, we have (NOT ME) become a nation or dobbers and whingers, They make me sick! Do you know <br />that Australia and England rate the highest in the world in dobbing ranks compared to other countries.<br />Mind you some dumb arse'ole will complain about your dish because he or she said it effects their TV set or their dog barks at it when the dish moves, but you they don't worry about the barking dog that barks all day when you have to work shift work and sleep during the day.<br /> <br /> <small>[ 11. the neighbour dog barks at my kids when they are playing in our backyard. Also the complained the the can see our dish form their living room but they admitted they don't have curtains.Any way we had to move it away were neighbours cannot see unless they stand on the fence.otherwise we need a planning permit. <br />Also i have a question, i have LMBF C-BAND input 3.4-4.2 ghz<br />output 950-1750mhz.is this enough for my 2.3 mesh?
AND.. <br />SPECIFICATIONS:<br />Frequency Range: 0.95 - 2.3 GigaHertz (GHz)<br />Gain: 17 dB<br />Sensitivity: 7 Micro Volts<br />Operating Range: LNB Gain is 52-60 dB<br />Input Level: -10 dBm to -40 dBm<br />Power Supply: +13/+18 V DC from LNB <br /> IS THIS FREQ FINDER WILL FIND PAS8?
mr_mixer<br />Please do me a favour,<br />If they complain about you, you must retaliate, you have to.<br />I bet I would find something to get them into big trouble, I hate people like that and you must LEGALLY get back at them, does she or he scream at the kids?, thats a hot potato these days.
not to worry I `l get them soon or later...
ONE FINE DAY<br />SHE IS FLYING....<br />I LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE FOR GETTING HER FLYING.

He used to have a rooster and rooster used to sing in the mornings (as they usually do) That reminds him of his old country village in Italy.
