Frankfly
If your wife thinks you are mad! just think of me My neighbours tell me I am mad, show your wife Phils setup post and she will be happy with you that your are not as mad as me. Tell her that I am addicted to TV and suffer from TELEVISIONITUS a rare form of TV addiction that a person must watch at lease 6 different channels at the same time Heeeeeeeee. (PS the Ninth dish going up soon on Intelsat 1701)
Phil

Hey Phil,

Be careful with Intelsat 701, actually the programming more than he dish. It can really get under your Wife's nose..

enough said..

Seriously though, the only reason I run so many dishes is because of the potential signal loss with say a Toroydal dish, too many offset angles and DiSEqc switch loss etc..

However 6 or 7 dishes also pose a problem with rom, cost and DiSEqc switch losses etc..

So, has any one had sucess with a motorised dish, say DiSEqc 1.2 ?? for a Nokia etc.

On paper it seems ideal for KuBand. A 90cm offset dish, one good universal LNB and no switching etc ??

Advice anyone ??

cheers Frank

Frankfly
All my dishes are controlled by DiSEqc 4 to 1 + 0 to 22khz and 0 to 12volts switching ,my big dish is controlled by my Auto Tracker I keep this this way so the nokia is not the master control for this big dish
The latest gadget I have now is Variable speed fans with filters for cooling for all of my important boxes, fully automatic, speed from zero to min, speed 1000RPM to Max, speed 2500 RPM and works very well ,ready for summer must protect the Nokia's
Phil

I love my SG2100a.
It's great! Although you must, must, must get the mounting pole dead vertical. It then follows the arc quite nicely
