Hey all,

I got a call from my father recently telling me he'd lost access to the FTA channels on Optus D2, that he used to access via the 'Public' option on the UBI box.

I come over and am shocked to find that the 'Signal Detection' screen has gone from 6 'Signal Setup' entries down to 2. The first being the (home) and then a spare. I then discover of the two remaining they are both locked!!, so that you can only enable/disable and change the dish it uses. You cannot change what they scan??

When did this happen and when was it communicated? Although UBI are paid for their paid channels service, they themselves have always allowed this, and provided guides such as giving permission for this feature:

Is UBI going to provide the option to have the box's settings unlocked?

My father is strongly considering disconnecting his service, because as much as he watched the UBI channels, he also enjoyed the FTA channels.

Hi RATLSNAKE,

Our box has been getting that for ages. I've been wanting to be able to watch PressTV and Russia Today, but have never been able to keep the selection stored in its memory. Frustrations have been such that we have set our Homecast box to share connection so that we are able to do so. (which is bad on our connection points).

P.S. Sorry just realised how long ago you posted this :0
