Do not pay more than $75 to re-point your dish for anyone wanting to re-point their dish to view UBI channels.

If not sure post your question on this forum.

That is correct Buddy...I dont know where else to call..

Take it further, you have to find out where they are getting their boxes from, The Tarbs/UBI boxes are not easy to get so they must be getting them from somewhere FIND OUT and let me know.
Now what you can do is put a add in the Spanish papers and ask all Spanish people that have paid over $150 to contact UBI and Complain. This will be your revenge.

Uruguay,

A new outlet is about $150 and so a box without warranty is $150 so sounds about right.

Really nice of you guys for being so generous with your time to freely offer your assistance in re-pointing these dishes. I'm looking to taking up Mr Mixer's offer since he appears to be in my part of Melbourne. I just hope he gets to read my email before he's flooded with requests!!.

Once again (and since no one has said anything yet in this thread) your desire and enthusiasm to voluntarily assist those of us with the same interests but with lesser knowledge, makes the experience of being part of this forum all that much more worthwhile.

Yeah - I know, the last bit sounded a bit wanky, but I just thought you all deserved a pat on the back!!

Sam...

[ 24. Sam I have Helped many on this forum from Brisbane. I get them to do the dity work, I show them the things what, and what not to do, and I have refused to take their money. But I have to say I have collected a few new friends and a few Bottles of Plonk on the way.

[ 25. May 2005, 06:35 PM: Message edited by: P Debono ]

Money helps but sometimes its the root of all evil.
Ring around boys but in this case where your forced to use these contractors because they have the UBI boxes just keep a extra eye on them as they are after the fast buck.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This guy is a rep for U>S>I in brisbane and he charges $250 for the box,$175 for the new point and $ 75 for re-pointing the dish which comes to a total of $500 exactly I dont think this company knows whats going on but he is not a preffered installer for U.B.I pretty F..k.ing sad isnt it?And the worse part is the people called a week later to go fix his F...K ups..

Electsat

If the customer thinks they have been ripped off ask them to call UBI and make a complaint.

Get youself a 2 way radion and re-point it yourself. After you find C1 (easy to find), its slightly to your left.
