Hi all,

Is it correct that the Mega feed currently in testing on UBI is a recorded feed?

Just been checking the programme guide on their web-site and it doesnt match what UBI is broadcasting.

I know that happened with Alpha (Liski posted the schedule in the UBI announcement forum), i was just wondering if the Mega feed is doing the same thing?

As far as i know Phil said to me that they will be playing for a few days to get it correct before running it live.
This is expected with anything, Testing!!! before the service is commisioned

Hi guys. No problem about testing, like Alpha, i thought the testing involved the live feed (ie it may go up and down, but is a live feed).

Will wait and see what happens. Thanks

This is a test feed at the moment. Mega are creating a new feed called Mega Pacific.
Posted By: reuder Re: Mega Programming. - Tue 15 Nov 2005 08:11:AM
So we won't be getting the old Mega Cosmos?
Posted By: ur003127 Re: Mega Programming. - Tue 15 Nov 2005 08:26:AM
Looks like not, although Mega Cosmos is available in USA
Posted By: Liski Re: Mega Programming. - Tue 15 Nov 2005 08:32:AM
reuder,

No. Mega have decided instead to create Mega Pacific for this region.
Posted By: reuder Re: Mega Programming. - Tue 15 Nov 2005 08:33:AM
So what was Mega Cosmos, I thought that was the satellite version of Mega?
Posted By: Liski Re: Mega Programming. - Tue 15 Nov 2005 08:34:AM
Like MEGA, STAR is also finalising content of a new feed for Australia that will contain 100% Greek content (STAR in Greece has a lot of English content).

reuder
The channel only appeared a few days ago, Liski and Myself don't know all the answers yet, you will have to wait until Liski is told.

Reuder,

From what I understand they are using MEGA Cosmos for USA and creating MEGA Pacific for our region. Much like Antenna Satellite is for USA and Antenna Pacific for us.

As the aussies would say ,,, fair dinkum Chaps!! I could just imagine how much work it has been for UBI to get all these channels up and running and now you
can see that Mega Pacific will be just for the Pacific and we all should know that can't be done in 5 minutes.
My count in the last 6 months
TV Plus, 1 extra channel
UBI, Lost count around 30 new channels of different nationalaties and still going strong.

Ohhh KOOLL!!! good that this version of Mega will be suited to our timezone as i think with Mega Cosmos it was timeshifted for USA Viewers

Good to see that some of the Greek channels will be specially timed for our timezone

The "feed" appears to be a dvd recording. I saw a Sony DVD player menu before the commencement of the current programme.
