looks like Rik (Cyprus) has finally changed thier layout and have renamed thier satellite channel to RIKsat. I thisnk these changes are only cosmetic and RIK won't effect the content on the channel.

Nearly all the Content that RIK shows is from Alpha anyway they should show more content from Cyprus like local shows and productions instead of just relaying signals from Alpha

maybe they just dont produce enough local contenet themselves?

Guys,

Riksat is just like Australia's ABC. It shows mostly intellectual, cultural and political programming. It is for the more discerning viewer and provides more informative programming especially as 37% of the island is under illegal occupation and is the only country within Europe that has it's capital city divided by a wall. It is about time in this day and age that this wall crumbles as has done the Berlin wall in order to re-unite all the brotherhood of Cypriots from the South and the North. It is a very educational channel especially with it's plethora of political talk shows. If this style of channel does not appeal to anyone then they have the option of switching the channel. It's as simple as that. But for many Hellenes, this channel really does satisfy it's intended market.

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Evagoras...

Let me guess, you are Cypriot? Personally I've got nothing with Cypriots. I see them as Greeks! We might say Cyprus Sat is not the best channel to watch but we don't do that because it's a "Cypriot" channel... I mean I don't really like ERT as well, I only like ERT cos it shows soccer and has news every 2 hours. Anyway... Merry Xmass & Happy New Year to everyone!
