I need some help from the professionals on this forum. I recently bought a Pioneer A/V Receiver and I am trying to connect the UBI decoder to this receiver. I am using the analog audio RCA connection and the S-Video connection. I am ending up with just the sound with no image. Looking for advice.

The UBI box has no S-Video output. You need to connect the Video output of the UBI box into the Pioneer input (say AV1) and wire the Pioneer Video output to the TV (AV1) input. Selecting AV1 input on the Pioneer Rx will select the UBI box and display it at the output

It should work!!
If you have your SVHS output from the UBI box connected to one of your inputs in your pioneer and you select the correct SVHS output to your tv it must work bringing UBI to your TV.
1/ Check and test that both cables from UBI box to TV work
2/ check that you are correctly switching on the pioneer as some don't allow svhs switching on a given imput say inputs 1 to 6,,, input 4 and 5 will not switch svhs, now this is an example. Find which one works and swap all the others around to suit like you radio and other electrical stuff.
I set my mates one up with a pioneer surround processor and all is ok after scratching my head for 5 minutes

Thank you Big Chief for your quick reply. The UBI box I have does have S-Video output and I used to connect it directly to my TV.

Thank you P Debono. The way I set it up is that I connected the UBI box to the Pioneer receiver using the RCA audio cables and the S-Video cable. The Pioneer receiver is connected to the TV AV1 using component video cables. My understanding from your reply is that I have to connect the Pioneer receiver to a different AV input in TV using RCA and S-Video. Am I correct?

Also in options sometime the default is RCA not SVHS and they are not auto selecting, you might have to go and force it to select SVHS over RCA in the options
