yes as we all know that ligtv etc have left the platform of UBI and is unkown weather it will come return or not which is highly doubted at the moment..

There is a Internet tv streaming company hence the name "Cinegraph" which recenty posted a report regarding the loss of ligtv in the Turkish newpapers here in Australia,as much as they say their currently working on a system that supports to be able to wach live channels (channels on digiturkwebtv) via a modem set top box like device that can sit on your tv controlled via a remote control like as if it were a decoder box..

I think that if this system come and sits into place it will dramatically drop UBIs turkish customers where as this system is cheaper and will have any every turkish channel that you would want to watch seeing as though it is via the internet..

abit of advertising and setup support for the people and there you have it bye bye UBI.. I know it would sound wierd probably going though this much effort rather than wach it via Sattelite decoder way, but as a customers opinon only UBI will be pushing me to go through this system as i know hell of alot of people will too, unless they put some effort in to getting these channels back ata resonable rate!!!

Putting that aside they charge 20 a month and have ppv options..

This will never get off the ground with the way the internet is here

1. your saying that they will give you a set top box to connect the tv to the internet with you watching your channels your download limit would need to be unlimited to watch the channels all the time or else you watching for a few days would go over your download limit in no time

2. until we get unlimited downloads and decent internet speeds at a reasnable price IPTV is pretty much dead here until all this happen

3. There is no way this will be cheaper for people you would need a end internet plan which would cost $70 or more per month plus then you need to pay a subscription to this company so end of the day all your download limit will be eaten within a few days and will end up costing more...

So good luck smile

load of rubbish our internet connections are down a lot streams too...trust me quality is crap on the net too plus it is so unreliable, & net in most oz capitals is below "decent" so all due respect that is yet to come perhaps in the next 7 or 8 years...
I feel ur pain crazy turk but balkan ppl have been in the similar situation for over 2, 3 years now and still no decent platform to carry our channels...

Noopp....He can not succeed if they use the way how its been done....

I see no future on its platform unless the service transferred to some other option....

yeah as i mentioned earlier in this thread i have heard that ligtv + other turkish channels will be bought in via adsl connection, something which tgp would like to call iptv, they also say that the data used by the steaming waching a channel will not be counted towards your download quota..

so you wnt have a problem watching and worrying that it willl eat up your downloads..

btw they have been publishing ads in the sun herald and mercury newspaper about the ads

http://www.tpg.com.au/iptv/ similar to this link,
on the newspaper is where i seen it quote

`tv streaming will not be counted towards download quota`

Still need a computer and internet connection ....

regardless if it eats your downloads or not its stil going to cost you for a monthly internet connection plus pay ontop for channels...

TPG is currently free during there trial period but will turn into a pay extra service eventually

And with TPG you got to be within a certain distance from the exchange to get the high speeds needed to watch the stream if you aren't then you cannot watch the streams...

TPG IPTV quality is not for watching on TV. it's ok for pc monitor.

If I'm not wrong channel's quality around at 250kbps. this is not enough to watch a soccer game on tv. I'm not sure if they will increase the quality when they start charging for it. we'll see.

I bought digiturk webtv for this month. LIG TV comes in 3 quality. 300kbps, 650kbps and 1100kbps. And only 1100kbps gives a decent picture on tv, others not watchable on my 40" TV only OK on PC monitor.

And you need to have a bloody good internet connection to continously download at 1100kbps!!!
