oh no!!

this channel came instead of sama dubai - which was one of the best channels ubi had, we want sama dubai back and al nas is definitely not as good channel..

pls bring SAMA DUBAI back

i cant believe ubi took out sama dubai to bring al-nas
something needs to be done about it.. we keep loosing the channels we like watching
Posted By: Turkmen Re: Al Nas TV on CH58 - Thu 15 Nov 2007 02:43:PM
i watched al-nas tv and it looks like a really good channel, but it should ve replaced one of other channels like 4 movie channels or other drama channels, not sama dubai, please consider bringing back sama

I doubt that any of the Orbit or Rotana channels will be removed. I wouldn't be surprised if Sama Dubai doesn't return, but then again the pay tv industry you never know what tomorrow brings.
Posted By: Turkmen Re: Al Nas TV on CH58 - Thu 15 Nov 2007 04:22:PM
do you know why sama dubai was removed?
Posted By: Liski Re: Al Nas TV on CH58 - Thu 15 Nov 2007 05:08:PM
There was probably a number of factors, one could be that it’s unpopular, you have to remember that you need to make sure you please a wider audience.

Thats good, Sama Dubai was very unpopular.

Waiting for Mazzika to replace Zoom
Posted By: Turkmen Re: Al Nas TV on CH58 - Thu 15 Nov 2007 06:51:PM
if sama dubai was very unpopular, there are at least 5 arabic channels who are not even watched at all, consider replacing them to please the wider audience as well...

also what happened to turkish show tv? its not going to come back at all? turkish viewers are still waiting for replacement channels after u stopped lig tv and show tv. it was told to us at the time if they were not going to bring them again, you are going to replace with equal good channel i was told this many times over the phone when i rang ubi.

There is no point in constantly calling and seeking info, when there is a new channel you will see it pop up.
Posted By: Turkmen Re: Al Nas TV on CH58 - Thu 15 Nov 2007 10:15:PM
if no point of seeking info, whats the use of this forum?
i will stop my subscription next week. so will 3 other families

good luck to ubi

I still get angry every time i see the adds of Mazzika TV on Zoom

Just a while ago..an ad about an exclusive concert for a superstar gonna be aired on Mazzika TV...and UBI thinks that Zoom provides a better music "experience"

Liski, can u please tell me how is Zoom better than Mazzika? It shows fashion shows..compared to exclusives interviews and concerts that Mazzika airs.

Whats pissing me off is that UBI can replace Zoom but just doesnt want to...

Calling and reading the forum are two very different things.

Alnas is the worse channel i've ever seen. UBI should remove it as soon as possible and change it with other channel. They should consider to chane it with sport channel or entertainment channel or bring channel that gives the news and the current affair from australia as we are living here not as the ana is just saying they will bring news and current affair from australia. Maybe also they have to consider bringing a cartoon channel from the arab world to give a wider contenst to the viewers to have more option to subscribe to ubi as a foxtel they have channels for all the family from child to adult.

Thanks anyway.....................

ARABIC PACK,

You might think Al Nas is the "worse" channel but that is your opinion and I respect that but there is probably a few hundred or even thousands of others who are quite happy with Al Nas being available in Australia.

I'd say the future of ANA would be to have Australian made content from the Arabic community but this takes time.

An Arabic cartoon channel would simply not happen, due to the rights being with Cartoon Network, it would only happen if it was the English Cartoon Network, and hopefully this happens when and if UBI launch an English package.

Welcome to club turkmen. why should ubi bring show tv back? They charge same for less. More profit, profit, profit $$$

Cheap channels will always replace expensive ones. that's the rule and will never change if people don't complain or cancel their subs.
Posted By: Liski Re: Al Nas TV on CH58 - Mon 19 Nov 2007 02:16:PM
Charge more for less? When most people joined back in 04/05 there was no Vizyon, no EuroStar, no PowerTurk/Kral TV, no SinemaTurk/TurkMax yet the price was the same. UBI later added these new channels and the price remained the same.

Also it's not a question of "If UBI will bring back Show TV", it's up to Show TV or their owner if they want to be back on air in Australia.
Posted By: Turkmen Re: Al Nas TV on CH58 - Mon 19 Nov 2007 06:12:PM
i am not making this up, we were all told by ubi representatives on the phone that if show tv and lig tv doesnt come back, ubi will replace them with equal quality channels...
now we are asking, what happened to these statements? where are the replacements?

this friday i will call and stop my ubi untill further turkish channel (or show tv] comes back and i will mention this as my reason to stop, simply as that.

Charge same for less!

if you compare with tarbs days (I don't think it should be a benchmark for ubi) but we had LIG TV included in the price back then.

we should only look at UBI's historical packages.

First world tv for $60
then world tv minus LiG TV for $60
Finally, World tv minus Lig TV minus Show TV minus TurkMAX for $60

good business!!!

Turkmen,

If you wish to suspend your service until you're happy with the Turkish package that is totally your decision. There are 2 D channels waiting to go on air but channel space is required so hopefully they make their appearance once we switch over to D2 next month.

ShaRp,

TARBS? that is long, gone and buried. For historical information the TARBS Turkish line up was as below for $62 a month. I think what people have with UBI is pretty good to what they had compared to TARBS.

channel 13: ATV (TURKISH)
channel 14: TGRT (TURKISH)
channel 15: TRT INT/LIG TV (TURKISH)
channel 16: VIZ/LIG (TURKISH)
channel 17: KDTV/SHOW (TURKISH)

There will always be people out there who are never happy.
