I moved from another provider to UBI earlier in the year so my wife can watch Spanish TV. I have not had one day in which there is some type of problem with one of he channels. As I write two channels show ' we are having technical difficulties"
I now regret my move and that I have locked myself into a one year contract.

Most of the time its not UBI's fault You can't show a channel that ain't there.

I don't know who is at fault but I pay UBI for the sevice. I wonder if I am going to get a refund for the days stations have been of the air like foxtel does.
It is now 48 hrs and still no service. Never had this problem with ??????? and I was with them for two years. I ring UBI but no answer till monday. I am p@@@@@@ off

Hey there,
as i said before the ubi are mother####ers and they don't deserve to get $60 from us as it is me i range them and they said it's my fault and they didn't do anything to my dish and in my area i always have raining so i have to switch to the local tv because ubi is sucks and idiots enough to provide service to the people.

So who want to apply to ubi i say to them
DON'T SUBSCRIBE TO THEM THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE TO PAY FOR THEM $60 FOR SHIT CHANNELS... That's my advice to them

Robert,

If the channels from Chile are down it looks like it's a fibre issue. If the fault is out of UBI's control then no refund or compensation would be given. Foxtel might give refunds but they control most of their channels and most are produced within Australia where as UBI rely on the broadcasters from around the world to supply the signal to UBI either by fibre or satellite - this is the only downside to supplying ethnic channels into Australia.

I'm quite positive it will be fixed quite soon, possibly today, you must remember that it's the first time either Chilevision or Latinoamerica TV have been sending their channels outside South America. So we are just waiting for the teleport in Chile to fix it asap.

You might of not had any problems with SelecTV but did you read about the massive outage to their ethnic channels a few weeks ago, including the Spanish channels? At least you had another 8 Spanish to watch during the outage on UBI.

Remember that it's in UBI's best interest to make sure all the channels are running but when you need to rely on third parties it can be a pain - it's funny when some people actually think that it's done on purpose.

ARABIC PACK,

Please don't get me started - if you have a problem with your dish and equipment I hardly see how it's UBI responsibility. UBI's main objective is to supply the programming to it's customers and everything should be fine if "your" equipment is in good working order. Maybe it would be a good idea to get yourself a technician to take a look at your dish instead of blaming UBI.

Please refrain from using foul language on here.

Thanks for you reply. I take onboard what you are saying but I am still frustrated. Just got home and still no signal. In regards to your comments re I have other channels to watch the main reason for me to change over was the Chilean ones.Re you comments on Select TV I can only go on the service they provided to me over two years and this was excellent. Well I suppose I have to wait and make up my mind if I am getting my money worth. By the way I think that Arabic Pack is over the top with his comments.

Robert just take it easy and the channel will come back online, its most likely the feed from the broadcaster has problems.

I subscribe to balkan package, and we have this channel BHTV, everytime something english comes on, the channel is frozen. The channel is frozen most of the time then actual local content. How am i spose to feel? Of course i feel frustrated, but I know UBI is doing their best to get this channel fixed , so i just have to wait and see what happens.

Same in your case, just wait and it should be fixed.

LISKI DO you have the right to talk about me like that what i should talk and what i shouldn't. In evey word that i say i mean it and when i swear to someone who pissed me off always when i got raining and also keep in your mind that i got someone from ubi to do the dish for me so that's why i was pissed off and ubi didn't do anything to me. I think in other compaies the'll send you another one to fix it for you because you already paid for the techniqtion and because it haven't been for long time less than 6 months so imagin it if you got that problem and they tell you, you have to pay again to fix it if you got any wind or raining. Are we a bank to pay service for my dish every 3 months is it a car or a dish??

You wonder why most don't want to service the sat industry anymore, the last UBI fix I did was a abusive customer that blamed UBI for his picture disappearing.
Only problem was the same day he had roof restores restore paint his roof and they removed the dish and after finishing they replaced it somewhere in the same direction.you wonder why he had no pics?
This is what the Tech has to put up with these days.

Hi All,

I am wondering if anyone is having problems with thier service, I am getting pixilated picture, and when I check the Signal Level is 80%, whilst my Signal Quality is 0-30%. BTW I live in Melbourbe suburb, I am wondering if anyone else having the same problem. It seems that the problem only started when we moved to the new Satelite.

Thanks in advance.

yoyo_81,

Your Signal Quality is very low, should be above 65%

I doubt the replacement of B3 to D2 affected you as the signal levels should be stronger in the metro areas.

Your Signal Level is good so I'd have to say either your LNB skew is a bit out of alignment or is dying and needs to be replaced.
