Must be getting ready to put A1 back on air since it was taken off to make way for DM Sat. DM Sat wasn't happy or should I say certain people weren't happy with DM Sat not being 24/7 as promised.

I don't know why TV Plus are keeping the Orbis TV logo on their site, Orbis has been taken off air over Europe due to financial reasons.

Got a 81cm Sony Bravia LCD looks the same to me CRAPPPP!! no other word for it alot of improvement still needed ....

Now BN is FTA on 2 channels were Pink Extra was now BN is on there also how exciting.....

yeah something was happening with it all last night pink extra said unavailable like that usual msg "channel 238 is not available" then this morning bn on both chs. also last night the whole pas8 signal was playing up like yoyo the signal was up and down....

What has happened to DM Sat and A1 Plus someone has told me they have been off air for a few days whats up with that....

I've heard that A1 was taken off air to make way for DM Sat. So now DM Sat is off air???

The quality of the second BN is atleast 10 to 15% better then the 'old' BN. Less pixelation, and better audio!

Pink Extra is testing again and comparing it to the original Pink Extra the test version is about 10% to 18% WORSE.

DM Sat now on, sound doesnt sync with peoples lips picture looks the same as what Pink Extra looks like lol with a Scrolling Message that says something about TV Plus testing new channels and A1 Plus will be rotated every 3 hours and that DM Sat will have an allocated slot to themselves early January.... well last time i checked were in Mid February now lol

Good on TV Plus they have finally figured out there picture quality problem I have never seen a clear crisp perfect picture like this ever on TV Plus well done

Broadcasting a Black Screen with Audio is very good quality you finally figured out that the problem was broadcasting moving pictures and have replaced it with a Black screen full points today for that crystal clear FTA channel today good work TV Plus or should I say Radio Plus hahahahaha LOL

LOL who knows wat is happening been told RTS is to come and this is why all the channels are all over the place...I think the sound u refer to is from BK tv but again not sure ARE THERE ANY SUBSCRIBERS OF TV PLUS HERE..Please respond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeaaaaay great news looks like bn now is a bit better quality too!

yeah i noticed last night that dm sat is actually repeating...its not live from Serbia and is on tape delay I think too! this is because the same program was shown on Thursday night and then the following night Friday night with the same clips and same sms...So I am just wondering why is it repeating and why isn't it live?

Ohhh Excellent TV Plus once again trying to save a few extra $$$ by just playing everything on delay with videos perfect!!!

First it was BHT on tape delay now DM Sat I wonder what other channels are being played thru videos...

I thought something like this was happening as everyday it used to freeze at the same time on the same clip

THAT IS F*CKING BULLSHIT! I think DM Sat would be very interested to know that they're on delay in Australia. I can just imagined how pissed they'd be with no one bothering to SMS a song request in.

I have a feeling BK Sat is on delay aswell! Disgusting behaviour from TVplus! The sooner they go out of business the better!

FYI Some of the channels are time delayed to allow for programing to be shown according to Australian Local Time Zone.

What the point of Time delaying Music Videos??

DM Sat mostly only plays music videos and BK TV since it lost its licence does the same so why time delay music videos LOL

There is SMS numbers to post messasges on the scrollers on the Channel for Australia and request songs yet none of this can be done cause the channel is upto a day behind LOL

I wonder if DM Sat know that there channel is on tape delay to Australia I dont think they would be happy about it....

Ok so now we have DM Sat, BK TV and BHT on Tape Delay anyone to confirm if actually Pink Plus, Pink Extra, A1 Plus and BN are actually Live??

yeah I d understand that if MAYBE bn was on tape delay but for music videos i d be pissed off to send sms and who knows when it gets on tv and those sms are shit expensive $4/sms..even if it is on tape delay do we have to see the same tape 2 nights in a row? I dont get some things...dunno bn sat for instance repeats during the week some talk shows in different times so each time zone kinda gets to see it during daylight which i think is GREAT if u are really into one show then wake up and watch if not you can always catch up with it 2 days later when it ll b repeated in something more sensible (aust time).
I mean ppl do have video recorders anyway (if not some even have dvd (or hard drive) recorders these days)...
In conclusion I d like tv to be LIVE

Totally agree night_flight! BN/PINK etc understand that their channels are broadcast in different timezones all around the world (they didn't come down in the last shower), and that's why their programming has been organised in 8 (or is it 6) hour blocks, so eventually, everyone will have seen a show in a reasonable timeslot.
We want to watch what's live, LIVE! Simple as that. There haven't been any problems in the past when Tarbs was around, I think this is just a cost cutting exercise disguised as 'a request due to customer feedback'.

Cheaper to record a video on a PC upload it to a server then download it at a teleport and play it out

Cheaper then transferring a live signal over LOL

The truth DM SAT had no idea TV Plus were doing this someone I know messaged DM SAT to ask them why DM SAT was on delay and he just forwarded me there ( DM SAT's ) reply

The only things LIVE on Pink etc are usually the morning shows. To have that delayed to coincide with morning in Australia is stupid. How many people watch TV in the mornings compared to afternoon/primetime?

BHT and BK TV are Free-To-Air

BN TV has disappeared completly...... doesn't load up anymore hhhmmm... ?

What a mess there channels look like Crap! there on delay there not on all the time and people have to pay $65 a month ontop of all this LOL... Brilliant haha

You would think if they were broadcasted on tape the picture quality would it be at least better than it is.

What I find really funny is that according to TVPlus the delayed telecasts are in response to customer feedback, yet no other operator IN THE WORLD does it. I don't see Optus doing it to their foreign channels, I don't see UBI doing it, I don't see WMI doing it, I don't see Globecast doing it, I don't see Dish Network doing it.
No other provider in the world does it, you gotta ask yourself why is TVPlus? Surely the other LARGER providers would've done it by now if it was what customers wanted!

The problem is that the actual broadcasters don't even know that TV Plus are actually doing this so called 'tape delay' broadcast.

Since when does TV Plus listen to customers feedback ???

If they did listen they would of fixed the various other problems TV Plus hasent fixed yet main one the PICTURE quality actually being watchable so people could actually watch the channels and not go blind with all the pixeals and distortion in the picture is not watchable at all on most channels...

I dont know what picture quality do you get in Australia.
These snapshots are from their Europe feeds:

A1+ @ Intelsat 10-02 (544 x 576),BKTV (352 x 576) & BHT 1 @ Hot Bird (704 x 576) & BN (480 x 576) and DM @ W2 (480x576).

Bit rate varies from 1.8 MBPS for BKTV to 3.7 MBPS for BHT 1.

You can say the same thing about UBI....

DM SAT & BKTV are now broadcasted aprox 30 minutes behind the European Transmission

now what is the excuse for that what could be the benefit of a 30min delay???

Thanks asen for that! The picture quality isn't perfect, but in comparison to TVPLUS those caps are HD TV! There is just sooo much pixelation on TVPLUS it's not funny, I'm not making this up.

No pixelation at all on the feeds here in Europe.
Only the contrast is not good and the picture is bleary on BKTV and DM due to low resolution and low Bit Rate.

Have TVPLus improved the quality of their feeds? I have recently been away and noticed upon my return that the quality of the picture has improved dramatically.

Hmmm, dunno. I guess when you watch it all the time, you sort of get used to it. It might've improved but only slightly, the pixelation is still VERY noticable.

I should also mention, we have DMSAT and BK LIVE, as far as i can tell.

All channels down except BHT and BN. Been down for a day or two now.

An update on the situation, all channels back since Friday midnight.

when i first viewed PINK EXTRA there was no sound then after at 10.00 at night the sound came back

then it cut off
it was encripted
