The other day Alisa and I was discussing 'hums'.
I don't see many recent articles written on the 'hum'.
I thought it was pretty neat when I saw this recent article about 'hums' shortly thereafter.
Even though it's not from USA nor Australia, I think it syncs with Alisa mentioning it to me and our discussion.
Cool!

Have you heard 'the Hum'?

By James Alexander
BBC News

For decades, hundreds of people worldwide have been plagued by an elusive buzzing noise known as "the Hum". Some have blamed gas pipes or power lines, others think their ears are faulty. A few even think sinister forces could be at work.

The hum is fascinating. In looking this up I see that people still hear it even with ear plugs. Massey University in New Zealand managed to record the hum (link) .

On this page is a clickable to hear the sound. When I listened to it, my whole backbone vibrated to it. It felt so amazing and resonated with me (even made me feel emotional tearsofjoy). Thus I theorize this is related to spirit/earth.

The hum we (me and D) have been hearing here lately is in the morning when it is still and there is no traffic outside. It sounds like (the apparently proverbial) diesel truck running. It is not anywhere near as loud as the recording. Maybe the amplification of the hum is why the recording affected me so much and the morning hum here does not.

I've heard many different hums, but for alot of years the proverbial diesel truck idling was the prevalent one.

I think most of the noises I hear are earth noise. Especially the great mechanical hum that comes out of deep vast gorges...
But then again, it may be caused by something quite out of this world. unsure

Good point! Is it caused from something alien? I often get that idea in my mind and I think of Stephen King's Tommyknockers. Did anyone read this book or see the movie? I thought it was thrilling. alien

I have dreamed of earth boring machines (like those in Journey to the Centre of the Earth). I don't know if it was symbolic or literal or both, but it felt like I was meant to know these machine exist.

Speaking of which, ever noticed how life imitates art and visa versa? How movies get reality of the future so right so often. It makes me wonder, is future reality a product of today's science fiction and thinking, or is the future being precognitively divined by today's (and yesterday's) brilliant science fiction authors?

Oh, and Dawn, I remain enchanted by the experiences you once shared of hearing the sounds of gorge(s). cheerful It's worth a repeated telling, I think. eyebrows

I'd forgotten about Stephen King's Tommyknockers, he does an eerie way of presenting possibilities of some of the strangeness and mysteries in this world. The movie really struck home with me, but I've yet to figure out why... but then again, alot of Stephen King's stories seem somehow familiar to my general thinking on certain mysterious things.

Perhaps the dreams you have are a knowledge on your subconscious and/or spiritual level allowing you to see what is or may have been going on.
The actual History of earth's inhabitants/visitors would probably leave us in awe if we knew what really went on or is going on.

I have to agree with you, I've often pondered which it is, does life imitate art or art imitate life. It really is amazing how aspects of art or fiction suddenly show up as scientific facts, theories or findings...

I'm glad you liked my hum experience.
I plan on posting it soon...

That is a fascinating article, Dawn! clink I found the comments at the bottom particularly interesting. Like Silsbey's comment, "...The hum was very loud for a few days leading up to that event and I am convinced the sound is the earth's crust moving."

Hmm, like the orbs phenomenon, this thing seems to be building in the numbers of people experiencing it. And speaking of orbs, my husband's photos contain orbs much of the time now I've noticed. Used to be only mine did. eyebrow

Yep, I think that more folks are finally become sensitive to more than just the textbook ideas & things. I'm so glad.

That's interesting about the orbs and your husband. What do you suppose it means? thinking

I think it means that as people become less resistant to the idea of orbs and spirits (whether they choose to assertively believe orbs are spirits, or whatever) orbs become more plentiful in human consciousness and in this realm, and more people experience them or capture them in photos.

People say the veil is thinning...and I agree and it is because we are overall enmass becoming more open. It's all about critical mass of belief. Like when an athlete breaks a record and shortly thereafter several other athletes break that same old record. Because suddenly they know/believe it is possible.

Wow Girls! Synch, synch, synch!! I found tghat same BBC article back in feburary, when I was curious what the #444 stood for. I googled the number & found a site that discussed the number & other things relating to the number. What helped me stumble upon the humming was a post about a man who keeps getting awaken at exactly 4:44AM. When he awakens, he hears a humming sound until he falls back to sleep.

This one post on the humming took the whole thread from "444" to "the hum". It made me so curious that I next googled "people who hear the hum", and it took me to a page where the BBC hum article was. I found it intriguing & even thought about posting it myself...I wonder what stopped me?

Anyway thanx for posting it, get it out there girl!
