Just to clarify my last post (done in a bit of a rush). This doesn't mean that SELECTV's video quality is beyound criticism, in fact there are issues that we know about and are in the process of fixing (hopefully, you'll notice a improvement on the English channels next week). Just that those big plasmas can be like looking thru a dirty window.<br /><br />Also, we will only support and guarentee compatibility of the UEC and Opentel STBs. We have already done s/w upgrades to the Opentel and have the capacity with the UEC. Other Irdeto STBs seem to work well, just that we cannot physically support every type of STB in the marketplace (the analogue would the the FTA terrestrial neworks guarenteeing that every model of digital STB is compatible). So, yes, we like the open equipment model, but there are a few issues attached.
