UBI terminated the agreement with Alter Globe due to the reduction of programming. There is no information regarding the return of Alter Globe.

At this point in time I have no information if there are plans for any new channels. From time to time vary the UBI World TV Services including the channels due to our relationship with third party suppliers and to maintain commercial viability.

There are numerous expenses in providing a Greek service to viewers in your region. UBI has and continues to absorb most of the fees in order to maintain the same subscription fee.

Antenna Pacific is created for the Pacific region and UBI only provides it on the UBI platform in Australia.

Your Greek Service wasn't replaced with Turkish and Arabic channels but in fact the Greek Service was moved to Intelsat 8, hence why your father would have been advised that a free repoint would be needed but rejected by him as you state to be able to continue viewing the Greek Service.

Sigma was removed back in 2008 as Sigma ceased to be made available on satellite for anyone outside of Cyprus.

The News & Events is for news and events that are happening in the ethnic community or events that UBI are attending or sponsoring.

Of course it's on Intelsat 8 as UBI uplinks it to Intelsat 8, this is the satellite which we use to broadcast the UBI Greek service in Australia.

I think you should read my posts again as I mentioned that most broadcasters ("Channels") these days use fibre to contribute and deliver their channels to their clients (eg. UBI).

Our box has been getting that for ages. I've been wanting to be able to watch PressTV and Russia Today, but have never been able to keep the selection stored in its memory. Frustrations have been such that we have set our Homecast box to share connection so that we are able to do so. (which is bad on our connection points).
