Why those ubi encrypted Syria satellite TV when its FTA on Asia sat 3
Anyone from ubi how could you justify charging for a fta service
Posted By: LAZER Re: Question why is it so ? ubi - Mon 06 Dec 2004 02:08:AM
they have the rights to broadcast it they done it before and there doing it again its not like TRT were there is a condition to keep TRT FTA on there channels Syria satellite channel is different anyone can have the rights to it and do what they want with it

and anyway most of the channels on UBI are FTA in some part of the world one way of there other so it isent just syria satellite channels its nearly all the channels on UBI are FTA in some part of the world the reason it cost money is the actual cost to bring the channels into australia is the cost doesnt matter if its FTA or not it cost alot of $$$$$$ to bring the channels into Australia

if u really want those FTA channels on asiasat 3s get urself a 2.3metre dish and a FTA reiciever and ur set
Posted By: fsking Re: Question why is it so ? ubi - Mon 06 Dec 2004 02:10:AM
They will say then if you wanna watch it FTA get Asiasat 3. If they have the rights to transmit it over Australia then FA one from Asiasat 3 will be ecrypted or stopped/trnsferred NSS6. I'm in the same ship as you are but sorry, there is nothing you can do about it.
Posted By: LAZER Re: Question why is it so ? ubi - Mon 06 Dec 2004 02:17:AM
syria satellite channel has always been FTA on asiasat 3s even when tarbs was around the Arab States Broadcasting Union control's those channels on there

[ 05. December 2004, 06:18 PM: Message edited by: Lazer ]

The channel wouldnt be FTA for no reason, same for all those channels on that satalite because they not popular at all.
Posted By: whome Re: Question why is it so ? ubi - Mon 06 Dec 2004 02:24:AM
so what you are saying is Arab states broadcast the Syria TV into Australia and pay for it and then UBI say,s heres a free channel ill just encrypted and collect the money

If you are so interested in the Syrian channel why dont you get a dish and watch it for free along with the rest of the channels
Posted By: Satfreak Re: Question why is it so ? ubi - Mon 06 Dec 2004 03:47:AM
FYI All

Syria SAT has not Authorised the UBI transmission and for your infomation,,, next year it will be free on Globecast B3 platfrom because the Arab Broadcasting Union has requested it be done (Globecast broadcast SyriaSat FTA on their GlobecastWorldTV USA platform and will do it on B3 next year) So if you are signing up to UBI just for Syria sat dont waste your $$$.

Again UBI has no rights or authorisation to transmit SyriaSat in Aus,. and this comes directly from the technical director of the Syrian Broadcasting Authority the Gov dept responsible for the production of Syria Sat,,

plebs = common people.

plebs [plebz]
Pronunciation Key

plebs or plebeians [plibē'unz] [Lat. plebs=people], general body of Roman citizens, as distinct from the patrician class. They lacked, at first, most of the patrician rights, but with the establishment of the tribune of the people in the 5th cent. B.C., they gradually achieved political equality with the patricians. First marriage of plebeians with patricians was validated, then plebeians were admitted successively over several decades to the quaestorship, the consulate, the dictatorship, the censorship, and the praetorship; they finally obtained the important priestly offices of the pontificate and augurship in 300 B.C. With the blurring of the distinction between the two classes, from this time the name plebs passed to the lowest ranks of the people.

[ 06. Yes, the new world order, going back to the roots, the elite on one side owning everything and ordinary citizens owning nothing and working for the elite to survive. And they call it the democracy, the rule of people, what an irony, it's amazing how stupid people are.

I know for fact that Syriasat was part of the ABU package that Globecast was to distribute globally by contract with them (ABU).

As many as 10 ABU channels, many of which were to also be broadcast by them on B3 FTA.

Now I can't see why they would give UBI any permission to rebroadcast Syriasat on UBI via B3 when its already due to start on b3 Globecast transponders in 2005.
