The equipment (IRD + SC) is not owned by UBI.

The equipment is not owned by UBI but UBI is disabling people receiver?? Something is not clear.
questions? They have the right to do it.?

If your trying to access UBI content and don't have a UBI contract your IRD will get disabled.

You can call UBI they will renable it for you but once you change your frequency to UBI you will get disabled.

If you don't want to have your IRD disabled then don't put the UBI frequency in your IRD.

UBI do have the right to protect it's content.

[ 01. Remember you NEVER own the card.
Liski,,,you have put the UBI freq in to get the box enabled in the first place, then I think you can change your frequencies and go elsewhere. Its only if you come back to UBI and put the UBI frequencies back in that your box will be disabled again. Is this correct? because it is confusing for most.

Sounds correct to me.

But most of the people are getting IRD Disabled cause they are tuning into the UBI freq and hence getting disabled.

If your IRD is enabled and you don't want to get disabled don't tune into the UBI freq.

One would only tune to the UBI frequency if you want to watch it...

Chile Sat did u have ur box tuned into the UBI freq previously if so thats how u got it blocked cause u r not a subscriber of UBI

and ill say it again these boxes are PAY TV boxes and were never made to be used as a FTA box

if u want to watch FTA ide advise u to get a cheap FTA box and have a trouble free time watching all FTA broadcasts with it

Maybe there is a box mod that could help Chile Sat?

That would disable UBI from overwriting the software? Austech forum may know?

I don't mean modifying the box to open all channels either.
