greek channels - AUS-CITY Message Forums

Hey all, im new on this site... is their any word on the other greek or cypriot channels that are comming to ubi? Me and my dad have been discussing whether RIK (cyprus sat) will stay FTA because it is a government channel... Thanks Deanops

I don't think RIK will stay FTA as i think RIK Sold the rights to UBI As for other Channels Sigma TV will be on soon

I don't think UBI have the rights to Cyprus Sat. They are still up for negotiation and no contract has been entered into. Cyprus Government has strict policy that this channel will remain FTA. You will all see soon enough when the Greek package is encrypted.

Will ubi have NET from Greece?

I dont think you will get net, as they are part of the ert group(e.g et1,et2,et3,net,ertsat) But we shall see in the next month or two, what ubi actually provides as the 10 greek channels. mixo

the music, on channels 63 and 64 is excellent, do u reckon itll be greek music channels coming..

Its definitely good news for the Greeks as I know a few and that was their biggest concern who was going to get Mega Cosmos, was it going to be UBI or Select TV?. Well done UBI.

ubi is looking after the greeks and after reading this i bet all are now happy All I can say is the arabs have plenty the turks have plenty the spanish have plenty and now the greeks will have plenty but i hope the same will come for us from the balkans.

screw you (funny saying that, lol) i think the first question is that how many good channels left in former yugoslavia that ubi can broadcast? is there a online english newspaper from that region so we can see their tv schedule???

Any news on getting Ant1?

I myself don't see this happening as WMI is the Exclusive company that has rights for it for Australia who sells it to Foxtel,Austar etc ...

they did it with tarbs, why not ubi???? mixo

What i am saying is that tarbs had ant1 and wmi had it as well, so why cant ubi do the same??? Whats changed since tarbs bit the dust?(in respect to ant1) mixo

I don't think you will see Ant1 on the UBI platform.
